Dr. Robotka's guest speaker session on Pakistan's foreign policy

October 5, 2018: A historian and senior researcher at the South Asian History and Society at the Humboldt University, Berlin, Dr. Bettina Robotka was invited as a guest speaker at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi to share her insights on "Pakistan's Foreign Policy options in a globalized world." The lecture was attended by students of the institute.

Dr. Robotka mentioned that a new foreign policy should be designed if Pakistan wants to play its role in the international community. She talked about the six economic corridors which connect Far East Asia to Europe, and even to Africa, which marks out the geo-economic and strategic importance of the region, and its impact on Eurasia overall.

Dr. Robotka has worked on the colonial history of the subcontinent, and published books on democracy in Pakistan, Jammat-i Islami Pakistan, and the Kashmir conflict. Currently she is writing a book on Bangladesh.
