Art and Politics of the Professors Group: Left Visual Culture in 1970s Lahore

November 25th 2024: The Department of Social Sciences and Liberal Arts organized an insightful session with Dr. Kristin Plys, Associate Professor of Sociology and History at the University of Toronto, on "Art and Politics of the Professors Group: Left Visual Culture in 1970s Lahore". The talk explored the poster art created by the Professors Group, its visual culture, and its role during a key period in Pakistani leftist politics.
