Guest Speaker session on Baloch Resistance Movement

November 28th 2024: The Baloch Resistance Movement event was organized by Ms. Ramsha Siddqui, Lecturer, Department of SSLA, as part of a guest speaker session for Pakistan History. The session featured Mir Muhammad Talpur, who was part of the Baloch national struggle from 1971 to 1977, and Sammi Baloch, an advocate for missing persons and leading member of Baloch Yakjehti Committee. The speakers addressed the history of Baloch resistance against the state and the ongoing issue of enforced disappearances. Students described the session as 'moving' and 'eye-opening' and requested more events like this be held on campus.
