Creative Media Practice

SSLA is excited to present a multi-media showcase of student work from the emerging media practice program. Encompassing film, photo, illustration and collage, the displays and screenings reflect students’ engagement with a breadth of foundational visual mediums & creative practices. Both displays will be housed in the dynamic Student Center space, allowing visitors a chance to engage with thought-provoking interactive visual projects and view audio-visual pieces.

Photo | Illustration | Collage

The photo, illustration, and collage display feature an array of work from CMP II, a core course in the SSLA media program. This showcase offers a glimpse into how students have explored various mediums and techniques to create illustrations, culminating in the design of a book or zine for their final projects. It also highlights the integration of visual art, design, and critical thinking.

Film | Audio-visual

The film showcase offers a curated selection of short documentary, narrative and experimental film work produced by SSLA (and other) students since the inception of media practice courses 2 years ago. The showcase features work from the core CMP I course, as well as electives such as Visualization & Storytelling, as well as Documentary Craft & Practice.
